Virg just tears it up only like he can, Killer solo over the vamp. I would rather listen to this band than 99% of the so called rock garbage that is out there now.

You know, one of these days I hope to see or hear Virgil when his drums don't sound like someone laying into the door of their car with a 2x4... he has (to my ears) possibly the most shockingly bad drum sound of any "big name" drummer going. His snare sound just sucks. All IMO, of course ... your mileage may vary, the value of your investments may go down as well as up, etc.

The only thing i know that is his live drum sound, when i saw Planet X, was uh... yeah. Well, i guess you could hear every note he was playing but man... i don't know, i just can't dig the drum sound. I think you could find a sweet spot between articulation and resonance...
